What is the appropriateness assessment for Expiry-Perps? - EEA

Before you can access Derivatives on OKX, we are required by regulation to carry out an appropriateness assessment. This is a short set of questions about your education, knowledge and experience with financial products.

Why do we ask these questions?

OKX Europe Markets Limited provides execution-only services. This means we do not offer personal investment advice, assess your financial situation, or make recommendations based on your goals. What we are required to assess is whether you have sufficient knowledge and experience to understand the risks of complex derivative products, like X-Perps.The assessment is designed to protect you from accessing products that may be too risky or too complex based on your background.

What does execution-only mean?

It means OKX will execute the trades you instruct us to make, but we will not advise you on whether a particular trade or product is right for you. The decision to trade is yours.

What happens if I do not complete the assessment?

You will not be able to access X-Perps or any other derivate product until the assessment is completed. This is a regulatory requirement and cannot be bypassed.

What should I keep in mind before answering?

Please answer all questions honestly and accurately. The assessment only works as intended if your answers reflect your actual knowledge and experience.X-Perps are derivatives with up to 10x leverage. This means losses can exceed your initial deposit and can occur quickly.

Disclaimer: X-Perps (Expiry Perps) are leveraged derivatives. Leverage can amplify gains and losses. Losses may occur quickly and these products may not be suitable for all investors.
