I asked also about buybacks funded by revenues the other day
data & notes might be slightly off on some and all buybacks are not the same quality but it’s worth looking into

i'm all for buybacks as it pumps my bags short term. but you're fooling yourself if you think it is the key to a sustainable business model long term.
here's a chart of the mag7 buybacks start after incorporation according to @grok. doubt they'd be where they are today if they started buying back stock in the first 5 years.

Obv use early rev for (figuring out) growth where costs are smaller than revenue or value accrual.
But predictable buybacks are good when token business & economy is clear and that can also accelerate buy-in & thereby growth.
> Finetune incentives for max growth & value accrual
- Buybacks usually used in mature companies
- They don’t ensure that a company does well in the future
- They offer predictability
- best marketing in crypto is price
- if crypto protocols have rev why not buyback & add value to token instead of inflating org & reducing margins?
