Proofs are cool; products pay the bills. @brevis_zk Proofs to Products” panel nailed the only question that matters: what do users actually feel?
❯ My takeaways: ZK wins when it kills a pain privacy (no doxx), cross-chain access (one proof, many chains), or hard trust guarantees (no scripts to trust). Tradeoffs are honest: latency ↔ UX, decentralization ↔ cost, speed ↔ reliability.
❯ Receipts that this isn’t talk: Brevis’s Pico Prism hit ~6–7s avg with 96.8% <10s coverage for 45M-gas ETH blocks (benchmarked Oct 15, 2025; pico-ethproofs). That’s “verify instead of re-execute” territory. And the Kaito integration (Oct 29, 2025) shipped ZK attestations so creators prove holdings for leaderboard multipliers without revealing wallets.
❯ ROI is shifting: teams measure dev adoption, trust minimization, and predictable performance less “we have a prover,” more “we close the loop weekly with verifiable payouts.”
❯ Interop will decide the next cycle: shared proof formats + aggregation mean “prove once, settle anywhere.”
How I’d ship next week:
❯ Start with one meaningful perk (e.g., 30-day volume tier). Compute off-chain in Rust on Pico, return {result + proof}, verify in a tiny Solidity callback.
❯ Keep wallets private; keep gas flat; publish your epoch SLA.
Claim check: proofs matter only when users feel cheaper fees, fairer rewards, or private credentials. Brevis is already doing that now let’s make it default. If you’re building this, DM me your first proof spec; I’ll sanity-check it
From Proofs to Products—Shipping What Matters
This panel session went straight to the heart of #ZK’s biggest question:
How do we turn cutting-edge proofs into products real users actually rely on?
Key themes from the builders:
🔹ZK only matters when it solves real problems—privacy, cross-chain access, or trust guarantees
🔹Productization requires tradeoffs: latency vs UX, decentralization vs cost, speed vs reliability
🔹ROI is shifting: teams now measure value through dev adoption, trust minimization & predictable performance
🔹Monetization models emerging across infra, data, and verification layers
🔹Interoperability + shared proof standards will define the next wave of ZK products
Huge thanks to Wanli for steering an incredibly honest conversation with
@vtikhomirov75 @xxiang_xie @sylvechv @rolfversluis.
Bottom line: Shipping #ZK is about solving problems, not showcasing proofs.
